So it starts tomorrow night on ITV, You're back in the room is the latest prime time TV game show. It's purpose is to entertain you! The voice over claims "A top hypnotist hacked into their brains" and "They wouldn't be doing this if they could help it!". Well first of all you cannot hack into someones brain through hypnosis, hypnosis is all about inducing a state of total relaxation and calm, an altered state of mind where a person is more open to suggestion. Secondly a hypnotist can not make you do things you do not want to do. These people want to be on T.V., they would do anything to be on T.V. , achieve their moment of fame and have a chance of winning some cash. They will have been through an extensive selection process to ensure that they meet this criteria. It's debateable whether or not they are they actually hypnotised during the programme or are they just showing off for the camera, Plus it's all wrapped up with showmanship and trickery.

What you are going to see is Stage Hypnosis, not Clinical Hypnotherapy.
